Daily
Activity Level
"How Active Are You?"
Your current daily activity level also
needs to be looked at when determining how many calories to consume in your
weight lifting diet.
I for one sit behind a computer
all day during the work week; so I don't
burn up a heck of a lot of calories at
the keyboard.
I also train with weights 4 times
per week and perform cardiovascular exercises AFTER every workout.
Weekends I usually take off as
rest days and may burn up a few more calories working in the yard or wandering
the mall with my family.
When you take these factors into
consideration, you can see that I am a moderately active individual.
However, if I didn't train with
weights and didn't perform cardio, I would be considered a sedimentary
individual (couch potato).
Knowing my activity level is
therefore extremely helpful in deciding my macronutrient intake.
Obviously
the more energy I expend the more calories I will need to meet my muscle
building goals.
It is a good idea to keep your
daily activity level in mind when designing your weight lifting diet.
